Over the years, architecture has become an inseparable part of my life. That’s why I applied for the course at MSA. Not only I am passionate about travelling but During high school, I started attending architectural drawing classes and my passion for art evolved into an interest in architecture. At the beginning, it was extremely tough but I quickly realised it might be the thing I had been looking for for years.
Hence, for the past two years, I’ve been practising each weekend for at least 5 hours during classes and almost the same time at home preparing my homework drawings. In the meantime, I changed the course, and I joined the one in the capital of Silesia, Katowice, where I’m able to attend architectural conferences and work on projects in teams in order to present them to the public under the eye of specially invited supervisors, renowned Polish architects, such as Mr Andrzej Duda, Mr Oskar Grabczewski or Mr & Mrs Malecki. We had to prepare a full project of a summer house for 2 people - with a limitless budget, no matter what the location or whether it is possible to execute or not. Ours, one of the impossible ones, was a bridge-house over a waterfall. The idea of the location and the structure of the house was mine - chosen from many others by our supervisor. After that meeting, the host of our classes organised next conference about interiors and design methods so that we could prepare our projects in detail, with projections as well as mock-ups.
Summing up, I’m a person curious about the world, passionate about buildings I see on my journeys - it’s my tradition to, wherever I am, look up the history or the peculiarities of every building I visit. In fact, I still get constantly surprised how deconstructivism or neo-futurism work which led me to get to know better architects like Zaha Hadid and their projects which, in turn, motivated me to work harder. I’d like to experience in person the proposed stadium Al-Wakrah, one of her projects, which was designed for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. It’s terrific how she was being inspired by the surroundings like in the Nordpark Railway Station in Innsbruck, which fluid forms and reflecting material suits perfectly.
